    Most food and drink for human consumption is currently zero rated for VAT, so (here in the UK) no tax on cheese!

      Jasper fford's books on Thursday Next has just such a tax (they smuggle it from wales to avoid it)

      You cant outrun the world, but there is no harm in getting a head start Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

          Cheese from Wales? Comes in little presentation hampers? Give 'em to abhorant relatives at Christmas? Dreadful soft stuff with bits of seaweed or leek in it? 'S that the Johnny? Not one of those ersatz orange 'cheddars', surely? Huh! Rather pay the tax for a bit of decent English stuff, meself.
