Ah, I'm sure his polar bear wife all his polar bear children will take comfort that no-one is actually blaming him for being shot.

Climate Change takes place. Its cause may be argued, its effects may be argued, that's science. I object to the politicization of the scienctific debate by activists, and to action being taken on the basis of climate model projections. So, no harm in the kids contributing to the scientific data through observation, it is observation that calls the models into question. BTW: Catastrophic Anthropologicalgenic Global Warming

Kids aren't going to contribute to the science, they have'nt got the experience training or knowledge. When you have schemes like this you KNOW it's all about indoctrinating kids INTO the socialist GW movement. It's Staliniat/Maoist in its intent. :)

Of course not. I was a lab. technician at 15, preparing equipment and standard solutions for post grad pharmacy students. After a couple of months of supervision, the Physical Chemistry lab was mine! At 16, I became a dispensing assistant. Although technically 'under the supervision of a pharmacist', after a year I was left pretty much to myself. I had to prepare medicines, ointments, eye drops, suppositories, ..., even tablets (rather than merely label proprietary products, as they do now). I have a great deal more faith in the ability of kids to carry out observations that would contribute acceptable data to scientific research.

Preparing medicnes to well known established protocols is very different to being able to contribute to a very young science about which much is still unknown. These kids are NOT contributing to science any more than the use of the general publics computers to run climate change models did. (Refering to a sceme where the general pubic would run some climate model code on their machine done in the UK recently. Of course this has nothig to do with science and everything to do with marketing. Hopefully you can see that.) These kids are receiving the current, highly politicised, perceived understanding of CC (bio diversity being just a spin off of this, as I am sure you are aware). It is propaganda as distastefull as the UK showing Al Gores movie in schools.

Science teachers will teach AGW, because it is the current consensus of climate scientists, and is thus the required answer to the exam papers.

... is only a part of what a dispenser does. There is the responsibility for ensuring that mis-prescribed contraindicated medications are not dispensed. If they are, the pharmacist gets it in the neck, not the doctor. A lot of study there. (Lot of nerve to tell the doctor he's wrong, too - they so really, really, do not like it.) The Ministry of Health (as was) carried out 'secret shopper' exercises. The first you knew of it was when a pompous Civil Servant marched into your dispensary, divided the medication(s) into 3 sealed packages, one taken for analysis, one for the pharmacy to have analysed (if necessary), and a third to resolve disputes. Mine were always OK.

A polar bear has mauled a 17-year-old British boy to death in the Arctic and injured four other UK tourists. [^] "Horatio Chapple, from Wiltshire, was with 12 others on a British Schools Exploring Society trip near a glacier on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen." "A blog on the group's website dated 27 July described polar bear sightings from their camp where they had been marooned due to "an unprecedented amount of ice in the fjord"" About ritish Schools Exploring Society[^] "The aim is to provide projects of real worth that will contribute to existing studies and a wider body of knowledge. General themes are centred around climate change" So, a couple of guys, who like trecking around the arctic, sell Climate Change studies to schools and thus get to enjoy their passion, and, in their naivety, get a kid killed.

A friend of mine went on a research expedition to Spitsbergen as well and got his eardrum torn from firing a Desert Eagle without protectors. The Desert Eagle is used for the sole purpose for when you have to poop, so you can blow a polar bears head of if one sneaks up to you. It's a really fun place to spent your holiday.

                                Giraffes are not real.
