Preparing medicnes to well known established protocols is very different to being able to contribute to a very young science about which much is still unknown.

And carrying out scientific observations to well known and established protocols is very different to writing a thesis.

These kids are NOT contributing to science

Observations of flora, fauna, climatic conditions, etc. carried out by expeditions that return to the same locations at the same time every year would be of use to science, were it made available.

Climateprediction.net is extant, those members of the public who wish to assist in running climate models may still do so. The site's aims and objectives are clearly stated, no attempt at 'marketing'.

Science teachers will teach AGW, because it is the current consensus of climate scientists, and is thus the required answer to the exam papers.

    Hard Core AGW. :)

No. I think that you are adopting the persona of a paranoid 'right wing' bigot. I am being very careful in what I say, in case you actually are one. :)

Anyway, what ever you say, this is still brain washing.

Brain washing works only on Americans - scientifically proven.

A polar bear has mauled a 17-year-old British boy to death in the Arctic and injured four other UK tourists. [^] "Horatio Chapple, from Wiltshire, was with 12 others on a British Schools Exploring Society trip near a glacier on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen." "A blog on the group's website dated 27 July described polar bear sightings from their camp where they had been marooned due to "an unprecedented amount of ice in the fjord"" About ritish Schools Exploring Society[^] "The aim is to provide projects of real worth that will contribute to existing studies and a wider body of knowledge. General themes are centred around climate change" So, a couple of guys, who like trecking around the arctic, sell Climate Change studies to schools and thus get to enjoy their passion, and, in their naivety, get a kid killed.

A friend of mine went on a research expedition to Spitsbergen as well and got his eardrum torn from firing a Desert Eagle without protectors. The Desert Eagle is used for the sole purpose for when you have to poop, so you can blow a polar bears head of if one sneaks up to you. It's a really fun place to spent your holiday.
