Why does God hate gays and prostitutes? Does he? When Jesus was walking on planet Earth he used to spend his time talking to prostitutes and other social outcasts. he had more time for them than for religious people. Why are Christians such hypocrites? Yes, why? Did you know that that Jesus got so upset with religious hypocrites that he started throwing the furniture about in their religious buildings?

When you've just laid the foundations of an entire Universe, when you've set the universal constants just the way you want, when space-time curves exactly how your complicated mathematical models say, when the smoothness of the large-scale is beautifully counterbalanced by the chaos of the small, and when you trigger it all with an unfathomable, cataclysmic eruption of energy and matter ... you really begin to look forward to telling some desert people how to behave some fourteen billion years in the future.

Interesting topic to debate. I love to hate organized religion, it's one of my passions. Not today though. It gets me all riled up when I go off on my bible burning crusades. I will leave you with these two items to ponder. (1) Jesus was a Jew not a Christian. (2)King James had a lot to do with our modern Bible and not God.

Since God is a man made conept, and in the Abrahamic religions, he is a guilt ridden neurotic, then naturally, anyone who actually has fun must be destroyed. Removing the responsibility of parenthood form the sexual act clearly makes it too much fun! (Its why they hate abortion and durexes too)

Because it is almost impossible to stop oneself wanting to have fun!

A word of advice... Don't get into this argument with Dave. Not only is he right, but he KNOWS he's right, and he knows how to argue the point. You have no evidence other than a 2000-year-old storybook. You will lose this debate.

To prove that there is no God, I would have take the evidence for the existence of a God, and disprove it. But I see no evidence for the existence of a God, so the burden of proof is on you.

I gave you proof. You just ignore it. Ignoring it does not make it go away. Using you "logic", for me to prove there is a God I would have to disprove any proof you have that He does not exist. So, in your words, "the burden of [no] proof is on you."

I gave you proof. You just ignore it. Ignoring it does not make it go away. Using you "logic", for me to prove there is a God I would have to disprove any proof you have that He does not exist. So, in your words, "the burden of [no] proof is on you."

Ok, here we go... Look around you. Can you see, hear, smell, taste, or feel (As in touch, not as in emotion) "god"? Not "evidence of god", but "god" itself? Can you take a picture, or somehow record its existence to show to someone else? No, you can't. Pointing to a chair and saying "that's god" doesn't provide evidence, any more than me pointing at that same chair and saying "that's a turnip" would provide evidence of it being a turnip. So if the existence of such an entity isn't obvious to any observer, the burden is on you to prove it. Now if you want to use the old "faith" argument, which we atheists have heard plenty of times before... That "god" intentionally doesn't provide any proof, and you have to believe anyway... That's fine. If you want to believe that, go right ahead. You can believe anything you want. Just don't expect to convince the rest of us.

Proud to have finally moved to the A-Ark. Which one are you in?

I know I can't convince you. I have talked to way too many people like you. I just think it is interesting how you can look all around you and believe it all came from nothing. Have you ever studied the universe? Have you ever studied a seed or even the human body? If there is no God, why do you obey any laws? Why do you get out of bed in the morning? Why do you go to work? Why do you do anything? What's the point? You can't see wind and I bet you believe in wind. Why? Because of the evidence that it exists. Because of the impact and effect it has on things. I'll bet you have never seen an electron but I am sure you believe in them. If you look, you can see evidence of God everywhere, including in the mirror. Whether you like it or not, you are proof that God exists. Instead of denying it and pretend it is not there, you ought to try embracing that. I do respect your right to believe what you want, I just can't understand why you would want to believe the way you do.

What about all the people who believe in other gods. Are they right or wrong?

Every man can tell how many goats or sheep he possesses, but not how many friends.
