OK, I was fairly tolerant at first. But no longer. The last three articles posted are pure crap. Time to gather a posse. Who wants to be the Sheriff??? Perhaps if people started offering constructive criticism on the articles rather than the rather childish stuff that certain people post, then these newbies will learn. These crap articles don't tend to say around for long anyway, the editing team is pretty swift at cleaning up the crap. Perhaps instead of always complaining, we should come up with an improved submission method wizard and help Chris implement it. We could add a "Report this article" link on every article and if the article suck we click on it to report that it sucks? The link will send statistics to Chris or the editors and they will see if articles get many reports or not and can decide if the article should be deleted? How about that? That's actually a good idea, but it ought to require a comment why the article was reported that is also posted as a comment to the article itself. In this it would require the person reporting to provide constructive criticism on article content (or lack thereof).

What about my security articles? I was wondering about this kind of article. I guess there's always going to be exceptions to the rule. Two things come to mind--these kind of articles can't be submitted using the submission wizard. Also, perhaps this rule can be relaxed once you're no longer a bronze member. I dunno. Marc Help! Common courtesy says that if you think someone sucks and want to take action against him, you will tell him so up front and not just behind his back.

Each time CodeProject is abused the barrier to entry gets increased by one notch which is something nobody wants. For the moment I'm going to keep things as-is until I can rewrite the system. The editors know that if an article is unsalvagable or offensive then they can (and should) delete it immediately. cheers, Chris Maunder

I wonder if we could automate this. For example, your first article must: 1. have an image 2. have a downloadable source code 3. have a downloadable project 4. have 3 code examples (

) 5. have text surrounding the code examples 6. probably should be in English 7. probably shouldn't have any wacky symbols. 8.
