      If it was me I would just write my own. If nothing else shows up you might investigate how Tomcat/JBoss/ActiveMq work. Those are java apps which are run via a batch file but installable as windows services. So they must be using something.

        Try using AUTOEXNT application (was provided with NT resource kit).
