I've implemented automatic logon for on RootAdmin[^] for those already logged into CodeProject. I'd love some guinea pigs who are logged into CodeProject, but not logged into RootAdmin, to pop on over and let me know if they see a message at the top of the window regarding their login status.

I have set up my account on RootAdmin and now the automatic logon works in Chrome. It takes a few seconds before the message to refresh the page gets displayed, but once I click on "refresh", I am logged in. But it does not work the other way around... :^) Soren Madsen

as in: if you're logged into RootAdmin and not in CodeProject, then when visiting CodeProject you're not automatically logged in? This is by design, but can potentially be changed (though potentially messy)

Exactly. I can imagine it could get ugly and I was just messing around to see if it would work (guess I should have used a joke icon somewhere). I don't see a problem with it not working that way. Soren Madsen

It didn't log me on automatically but I hadn't set up an account there. I then set up an account but I could not use the same account info as CP as it said:

I set up an account with a different email and that doesn't log me in automatically either - although I wonder how it could with a different email id? [I only tried Chrome]

Please update your settings to complete your login - with a cute little X on the right.

It was the "x" that was the hard part.

When I di go to create an account it was prepopulated nicely with the CP data. Didn't bother creating an account, I have almost no interest in the subject matter!

Tried again just now with Chrome and it asked for the refresh, and then logged me in successfully.

One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.

OK, that was quite cool, but...

Could you delete my not very old "forogar" account on rootadmin so that your "create using the info from CP" feature can do it - or better yet, recognize the similarities enough to be able to merge them.
