        Interesting narrated animation on the formation of the USA.[^] No war mentioned... well no war involving Iraq or Arabs or oil or anything, just Americans fighting Americans and Europeans. Good idea this kind of animation. Gives a broad understanding of a countries history, useful for other countries IMO. Now I also understand what Yanks mean when they speak aobut the 49th and 42nd parralells.

Just as Europeans have historical rivalries, Asians also have rivalries as well. Some of those smaller Asian nations had to fight tooth and nail to remain independent of China. Some Asians may consider your statement to be insulting.

                      Yes, lets say this was a language mis-understanding. I whole heartedly agree that Asian people are totally varied all over Asia with many diverse cultures and sub-cultures. :-) Regardz Colin J Davies
