Come now David, I am sure you actually do understand. We all have our insecurities and things we wish were different about ourselves. I agree that if you get to the point were you actually are thinking about surgery to rectify something you dislike, then you do have a problem. But don't discount the notion as insane, it is quite normal. Donna once found a plastic surgeons site with photos and spend the night cackling over photos of men who got enlargements. I think a fair proportion of our race IS that superficial, because they are socialised to be. Yeah, a friend of mine once, erm, stumbled on a site detailing possible penis enlargement operations. One of them, which is supposed to give about an extra inch or so involves totally cutting one of the tendons at the base X| However, it did point out that this has the side-effect of making errections no longer point upwards  -- Help me! David Wulff wrote: but why on Earth would guys really want to increase their penis size, unless are impractically small? You could say the same about breast implants I suppose. Personally I can't imagine undergoing any type of surgery without it being totally necessary (the appendix thing really sucked!), which makes me think that people must really believe they have a problem to actually go through such pain voluntarily. David Wulff wrote: Is the rest of our race really so superficial? I suppose it relates to the question Paul asked a couple of days ago - "Visual or Audible?". The majority of people are more visual, and given a choice, would rather lose their hearing than their eyesight. I suppose if we rely on this sense so much, we will tend to use it to judge each other as well - however unfair it may be. Being rather plain myself this doesn't work to my advantage, but I still have to recognise it as fact. At the same time, it would be really boring if we were all the same. :)
