Something that's really bugging  me lately is how some people are too weak-minded or immature to stand up for what they believe in and instead run to management squealing. :suss: And then guess who gets it in the neck at review time. Come on, people, this is such corporate b.s. Of course, this seems to be especially true of management wannabees or pseudo-managers. Back-stabbers in the making? :~ Cheers, Simon "The day I swan around in expensive suits is the day I hope someone puts a bullet in my head.", Chris Carter. animation mechanics in SVG

I know exactly what you mean...when I see somethong wrong (whether in my Company or in my personal life) I try to do something about it. In the past it's led me into inter-company bunfights at boardroom level. You wouldn't think it if you met me face to face, but I'm exceptionally bolshy when I run into beaurocracy, inflexibility or incompetance in an organisation, which seems to be just as well considering the changes in my life at the moment. Right now I'm having "discussions" with my MP, the CSA, the local NHS Trust, the Community Health Council and a few others - mostly to do with stupid rules and inflexibility which cause wholely unnecessary suffering among those needing help most. Oh yeah and then there's my current Public Enema No. 1 - T-Mobile (my mobile phone company) who're imposing a tarriff change on us from next month. Bastards! They're getting dumped once I've written them a letter explaining exactly what I think of them. Anna :rose: www.annasplace.me.uk

I once sent a rather adrupt and rude email to my mobile company (there's a pattern here) because they started ignoring me on a support issue and the bloody bastards CC'd my boss. :wtf::wtf::wtf: Now, WTF the company I was working for at the time had to do with the mobile phone issues, noone will ever knows. They actually found it quite funny, but it always could have turned out bad. Then the f@#%*@ bastards phoned the next day to continue. :wtf: I was shocked, but seeing as there is a monopoly on mobile networks, I'm still with them 3 years later. That's appalling! I'd have really lost it with any company that did that to me. Mind you right now organisations like T-Mobile are little fish in my eyes. I'm afraid I'm turning in a bit of a transsexual rights campaigner! Anna :rose: www.annasplace.me.uk

Luckily people like that don't usually last too long. Unless the boss is too short sighted to see what's going on, in which case the boss usually doesn't last too long either. Good luck. :rose:
A pack of geeks, pale and skinny, feeling a bit pumped and macho after a morning of strenuous mouse clicking and dragging, arriving en masse at the gym. They carefully reset the machines to the lowest settings, offer to spot for each other on the 5 lb dumbells, and rediscover the art of macrame while attempting to jump rope. -Roger Wright on my colleagues and I going to gym each day at lunch

Well, my fear is that the "don't usually last too long" timeframe will be deferred from boss to boss's boss to ... until I explode and start writing VB6 or something radical like that.
