This is a car post... so run away screaming if you do not like cars. :) How ironic. I waffle on about my simple life, and then someone sends me a link to the new Honda Accord.[^] Dayum, that is schweet my china. I seem contradictory I know, but I am perfectly capable of wanting a beach hut as well as that car. That Accord has definite ancestors though. Strong Audi A4 lines with Alfa Romeo 156 details. You can see it in this photo.[^] It is definitey a Honda in front though :) Just to confirm though... I can resist things like this for the simple life :)

I was going on about the simple life and the near the end I get a link and am writing "I don't need all that stuff" while looking through the photo gallery of the Accord wanting one... Any other day but this friday it would have been fine, but no, it comes today. lol

X| This reminds me of the new buick over here. All edgy and chunky and built to look imposing, not elegant. Back in Australia Ford bought out their AU Falcon [^]that was based on their 'Edge design' and it was a flop. Whatever happened to the smooth curves of the early 90's? :( cheers, Chris Maunder

Chris Maunder wrote: All edgy and chunky and built to look imposing, not elegant While I like elegant, elegance does not suit all cars. A Mitsub EVO for one is not elegant, an elegant EVO would be laughed off the road. This Accord is meant to be impossing, meant to say "See the next lights? I will get there and back before you have even got into second and I have a small p..." Chris Maunder wrote: Whatever happened to the smooth curves of the early 90's? I like having various design themes. Swoopy, curved stuff for the high-end sports cars. Q car box look for EVOs. Impossing and chunky for status cars like the BMW or Accord. Chris Maunder wrote: AU Falcon [^] Too generic, looks like a Mondeo.

You want one of the new S-Type Jag's - now they are *nice* (if a little excessive for trips to the supermarket). ** Dave drools **

I test drove both the V6 and the 4, they were pretty sweet. Both fully loaded leather, GPS, etc..... I would have bought one, except my credit sucks right now, so I'm keeping my Civic for a bit longer. Hopefully, next year, I'll be in better shape. :) Enjoy! BW "Gandalf. Yes.
