You should have a say in the matter. (I assume) We are professional, and if meetings are disruptive to your work, then you should discuss it with your manager/boss/team leader and make it clear that too many meetings are a waste of your time and their money.

maybe yes ?, but having a day in the week that no one could schedule a meeting might be a good idea. A little bit like casual friday; something like no-meeting tuesday.

Fridays at my employer have been designated meeting free. The C-Levels love it. Sadly, project managers see that as the only opening to have project meetings, so they are meeting days, just like the other ones. :(
