        Oh wow, I had forgotten about those. I remember typing in a basic program for measuring race times for a sports carnival at school. I never did find out if it worked. Come to think of it, my QA skills may not have improved much :) I am not sure what the modern equivalent would be, and I'm pretty glad I can just copy and paste now.

            Sure, it's called Stack Overflow. But why look further than CP, when there are thousands of articles, and ever since the nifty feature to peruse article code online, I no longer need to download the zip file! Marc

              I think there was something about actually having to type in the code (No copy-paste) that made the knowledge stick (or maybe I was just younger and had more brain cells). I think the nearest now would actually be PluralSight...
