Did anyone else watch the opening skit on Saturday Night Live about the UN? For those of you who believe the UN is a worthwhile organization you might have been a little miffed, but for those of us who believe the UN is a waste of time and money the skit was spot on. For those among us without television or those who do not recieve SNL, please disregard this thread and return to your previous chores. Mike Mullikin

I'm not convinced that oil is the problem. I'm pretty sure we could fly over the Middle East and drop bags of money and they'd still want to kill us for blocking the view. - Scott Adams

That was hilarious. The "anti-war"protest skit was funny as hell too. "feed the children to the whales" BW "Gandalf. Yes. That is what they used to call me. Gandalf the Grey. *I* am Gandalf the White." - Gandalf the White

it really is sad that the most vocal of the anti-war crowd presents itself as silly and childish. it really detracts from what the majority of either side has to say. (not that the most vocal of the pro-war side is any better). -c

Right on Chris. The extremists on both sides of the debate have made rational discussion very difficult. Take a look at the Yahoo message boards; everyone BUT the extremists cleared out about a month after Sept 11. Now it's just extreme liberals and extreme fascists screaming at each other. Very sad. Luckily, this place ain't so bad as most. Paul And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath, one day closer to death

They were much more interested in UN perks (free meals and limos) than anything else. They also seemed to like diplomatic immunity.
