No problem. Authority just means how much reputation someone has, not that it's a member of the CP "authorities".

The only person who will be able to tell you the definitive reason for the downvote is the person who downvoted you. BTW - this forum is intended for people who have written, or who intend to write, articles.

But how to find who has downvoted? It just shows as "Authority"..

You can't find out who downvoted. Downvote identification is only mandatory on articles.

That may have been me. You posted three messages in response to a question, where one would suffice. Your code sample was not formatted correctly, and there was no real explanation of what it does or why.

OK Richard. Executing the code itself should tell him the what is data race. If really explanation is needed, I dont have any issue in giving that.

No the code will not explain it. The question is obviously from someone who is learning (probably a student) and does not understand the concepts. Just giving some code without a detailed explanation does not answer the question.

You have a "improve answer" link (green) at the botton right area of your answers. Instead of posting several solutions, you can edit the one you already posted before to add or change content. That is what he is meaning. Posting several solutions can be taken as reputation hunting and hence downvoted or reported.

M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.
