'twas going as usual, with us spending far too much time drinking and BSing to pay proper attention to playing. Then, for one game, it all came together - the team focused, me & Johnny trying to out-do each other in marks per round. In the end, Johnny was King, with 3 nine-marks!!!, though my marks were respectable, and managed to close bulls to win. The adrenaline high after that game was too good to last, and we spiraled down into our usual levels of skill (or lack thereof) to end the night... but left drunk and happy, with good memories for the next day. what? all these other cricket posts aren't about a game involving the throwing of sharp objects and drinking? how sad...

I've tried swinging a bat at my darts, but half the time I miss and knock my partner out; the other half the time my flights fall out and I end up scudding points I don't need. Confusing, to say the least... Ah well, another round, bartender!   It is ok for women not to like sports, so long as they nod in the right places and bring beers at the right times.

 Relax man, all this enthu overflowing is because of the tight situation in the world cup. There are three teams competing for the third position in pool A (Australia is first and India second), and each one wants the others to win or lose with just the margin that will be ideal for them. Things will get better for a while after the Pakistan Zimbabwe match, when we all know who is going into the Super Six from pool A and after we have exhausted all our ramblings and philosophies. :)
                Regards,
