Ottawa — Secret documents detailing attempts by Iraq to buy uranium for nuclear warheads from Niger are forgeries, the UN's nuclear watchdog agency says. Mohamed ElBaradei, the director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said Friday his investigators and independent document examination experts have determined the letters and other written material are "not authentic." The forgeries were sold to an Italian intelligence agent by a con man some time ago and passed on to French authorities, but the scam was uncovered by the IAEA only recently, according to United Nations sources familiar with the investigation. The documents were turned over to the IAEA several weeks ago. :wtf: Report...[^] Follow live World Cup Cricket scores here[^]

Yeah, I laughed when I read that. Was right in line with that scandal about Blair bolstering his arguments for attacking Iraq based on essays written by some professor 10 years ago (or something like that). It's bad enough that I have major disagreements with the current administration. Coupled with the fact that decisions are being made with false information, it just adds to the illegitimacy of the current regime (err, I mean President) and their policies. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.

I mean President Don't you mean president, with a small "p", since he was appointed by the supreme court rather than elected? Those willing to trade liberty for security deserve neither - Benjamin Franklin

or you could drop the "p" altogether and just go with "resident", as in : he's only living there. He's the president in residence He's sort of in charge He's got the whole country sayin' 'That's my Bush' -c
