I can't tell you how many people get offended at me when I try to say that. I'm even very polite about it! Stupid though...I mean, if you're gonna use a term, you should know what it means, right?

Lol! The scary thing is a year ago I thought I might well need that - at the very minimum face, chest, abdomen and back, and probably hands and arms too. Fortunately the hormones have helped a lot and my back, hands and arms are OK. I'm still getting my face, chest and abdomen treated (and it's pretty painful, believe me) but I'm making progress now. Pretty soon though I've got to decide what to do about the most painful area of all. I'll leave you to guess where that is. :-O Anna :rose: Homepage | My life in tears

I wouldn't mind laser treatment on the lower backside of my neck. Odds are that I'll be as hairy as a gorilla in 10 years from now. If your hair's dark, laser will work well on it. Why not have a test patch done and see if it works for you? Jörgen Sigvardsson wrote: Really? I was under the impression that laser treatments were mostly painless. Does it burn, or what? It's rather hard to explain. Imagine a feeling which can range from a gentle warmth spreading over a small area for a couple of seconds, to someone punching a heated needle into your skin and giving you an electric shock at the same time. The pain also varies depending on the type of laser and the area being treated. Parts of the face are the worst - particularly the top lip and in front of the ears. I don't find getting my chest done too painful most of the time - except around the nipples! Painkillers and anaesthetic cream help a lot. Apparently laser is still a lot less painful than electrolysis though (which I'll have to start later this year to get rid of the hairs the laser won't shift). Jörgen Sigvardsson wrote: Your palms? I'll give you a clue. I'm not paying nearly £15,000 next year for hand surgery. ;) Anna :rose: Homepage | My life in tears
