will'll soon start seeing the true implications of this war in iraq. the falagies stretch beyond just winning or losing a war. the russians deny they have contractors in iraq providing equipment such as GPS jamming devices.this is could dent a blow in american arrogance over american technology.every day u turn on tv,u see CNN showing all the gadgets, the US army has at it's disposal. funny...most these devices u can get at your local radio shark or better yet grab a book and learn how to make it. the effectiveness of the propaganda media is nothing short of shocking. MEDIA + BIG BUSSINESS + POLITICS = END OF DEMOCRACY. it not too late for peace people....think about it... This isn't just about iraq, the possible implications go far beyond that.the world has never being as volitle as it is taday. it doesn't take much to change it's course forever. It's a sh*tty world. Take advantage of whomever, whenever, whereever. And oh.. becarefull what you say to me,am too sensitive.Or i might just show up at your house.

You are sooo right man! I don't know how 60%-70% of americans are supporting this war, or is it all propaganda? I am wondering what happened to all mass destruction weapons in possession of Saddam Mister Bush was talking about? Didn't he started a terrible war all for that?(Like we don't know its all for the oil)

first I shouldn't post anything here because this shouldn't be in The Lounge. But I will give my 2 cents anyways. I am an American Soldier. And I do support the war. Perhaps Bush does want the Oil. But there is a greater stake than oil, and it is Weapons of Mass Destruction. I guess that untill you acctualy lay in a foxhole and get training of what to do if a Nuclear or Chem/Bio attack happens, and you see what those weapons can do to somebody, then it isn't really important to you. The other day me and one of my Korean friends was watching CNN, and he asked me why we went to war with Iraq. At the time CNN was showing some Iraq people that had just been libirated, and they were smiling and hugging the soldiers over there, and I said that is what we are doing. We are freeing a people from a regime, and trying to make the world safer. IMHO: C# a poor attempt at bringing C++ to the VB masses

We are freeing a people from a regime, and trying to make the world safer. That is the problem of being too powerful and successfull. you see everything your way and find it very easy to justify your actions.I like to see iraqies smill too,i beleive there are better and less dangerous ways to do it. while i don't know anything about saddam hussien from any independent sources,i do beleive that he might be gilty of most of what he's being accussed of. as for joining in the rhetoric of demonizing him,i'll not take part. if the policies of american politicians can be traced to their tip,am sure u'll think twice b4 engaging in the "saddam used bad weapons on his own people" rhetoric.the problem is,there is a more braoder picture to look at,unfurtunately most people's views are just too narrow.may i also say i was very depressed over the pictures of the young men captured in iraq. am sure if all the people who support this war had children whose faith could be that of those young men, enthausiasm for war would quickly desolve. Was in the Lounge. Got moved. Jon Sagara I have no complaint with the “mentoring concept” or the marriage concept or the sex concept. But if you pay for any of those, something’s wrong. -- John T. Reed in The real estate B.S. artist detection checklist [^]

I don't think nobody hates saddam hussain more than iraqi's themselves, but that does not justify to start a war under the name of liberating iraqis. If you have an Iraqi friend or know someone just ask his idea about the war, and does he wants Iraq to be liberated through this war? You never know how propaganda works...would ever CNN say or show anything remotely against war? Of course CNN projects an image of war he wants to show...reality can be far different than what you see or hear, I suggest you also take a look at some independant news agency. What is far more interesting how US army talks about precision of their weapons but one of the cruise missile "accidently" hit Iran over the weekend. If they can be off by more 10-50 miles how can they only hit government building without hitting civilians home. And just imagine this...Do you remember how terrible September 11 was? It is just a glimpse whats been going on in Iraq since past week..

Oh sure I guess you speak from experience. Not to easy to do, when all you get is crappy satellite channels, when you are in military and traveling. When I was out to sea in the Persian Gulf, CNN was all we had to know what was going on, and WE were doing the bombing. Later,

Where is your proof that it is propaganda? mystro_AKA_kokie wrote: it not too late for peace people....think about it... Peace has never been acheived, IMO. and even if there was peace, the peace has been broken, it's too late and too personal now, with the treatment of the POWs and all. To quote a pretty cool line from the movie Enemy at the Gates "Man will always be Man. There is no new Man." :| Later,
