Turky says that will send troops in if they feel it necessary

They said they will create a 12 mile buffer zone where they plan on putting troops inside northern IRAQ. Turkey is afraid of civil war (the Kurds) so they are going to go possibly Kill them before they can do any harm to them (here we go - the premptive strike Bush'ism) 1. This could be a problem - the fact that we (US) may have to protect the Kurds - thus fight Turkey!!!!! Can you say "spark up world war" 2. Turkey wont let the US use their bases to put a force up north - thus we cant get much food and supplies to those refugee's quickly. Thus they will be starving, thus they will need to fight to survive. We have a long way to go before this is over. Months and Years. History is just starting to unfold on the 21st century

i believe Germany and some other NATO countries have told Turkey that they won't help, if Turkey tries anything and finds itself outgunned. -c
