I guess this depends on how you choose to look at it. A "glass half full" opinion may be that the French gov. was making an attempt at diplomancy. A "glass half empty" opinon might be your view that they are flouting the EU's rules. Either way, I thought ( I very well could be mistaken) that the Foreign Legion was over there recently to try and help and things turned ugly on them. Monsieur Chirac is more then welcome to join Mr Mugabe if he so wishes. There's plenty of space! However, I seriously doubt that Chirac consider Mugabe as a friend. Most likely, Chirac is going to try to persuade Mugabe to settle down. All kidding and anti-French bias aside (and both of those are hard trust me ;)) but the more I read about Chirac the more I think he's a slime ball. But Mugabe and his "tactics" are reprehensible. People like him are the reason I support the idea of assasination for political purposes. I honestly don't know how you handle a person like that.
