Why my post is held saying 'not publicly visible'?

I recently posted in GIT, Why my post is held saying 'not publicly visible'? [edit] It is showing now, Traffic Jams increasingly becomes unbearable[^] But, not sure why it was held for some time? Any moderation?

There is an automated system which looks at every post - if it considers it might be spam then it doesn't get published immediately. Instead it goes to a list where the human, volunteer moderators can look at it and make a final decision. This takes a variable amount of time because we have other jobs to do - generally ones that pay the rent! :laugh: In this case, I saw it and let it through. As to exactly why the system thought it could be spam, I'll not comment. Too much information gives spammers room to work round the automated system and it can be a while before it catches up to them again! If you could see just how much spam we get from time to time you'd understand why there is a system, and that a few "false positives" are a price well worth paying!
