Why can I only format code in the article wizard as a code block?
-
The code blocks are surrounded by
pre
tags. Here, in this editor, I can select a word or expression and clickvar
to surround it withcode
tags, which are inline. Why can't I do this in the article wizard without always having to switch to HTML view and manually code it? That is a smelly UX."'Do what thou wilt...' is to bid Stars to shine, Vines to bear grapes, Water to seek its level; man is the only being in Nature that has striven to set himself at odds with himself." —Aleister Crowley

Problem solved, but I leave this here in case it helps anyone else. I didn't see the tiny button on the formatting toolbar. This is the same as the
var
button in this editor."'Do what thou wilt...' is to bid Stars to shine, Vines to bear grapes, Water to seek its level; man is the only being in Nature that has striven to set himself at odds with himself." —Aleister Crowley
