I first came here in 1999 and in 2002 I came over for 2 years do really hunker down and get CodeProject on a firm footing. I've attempted escape but am still here, and slowly but surely it's become a second home. It's an odd place, and one I knew absolutely nothing about so I thought it would be interesting for others to see what the city is like in the extremes Summer Winter ...and out on a bike ride in Spring This, however, is the picture every Canadian has in their heart about what their country really looks like

    cheers Chris Maunder

Only ever been there in Summer (nephew's wedding), and I thought it a really nice place. But still not a patch on Vancouver - somewhere I lost my heart more than 50 years ago.

M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

My wife and I at Cherry Beach on our way to celebrate a wedding anniversary at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club. (Not members, as guests of one.) We live in Guelph. If you're ever out our way, look me up. I'll buy you a beer... or two. ;)

We do moose tipping instead. It's a little harder but worth your while.

I used to go to Guelph reasonably often but, unfortunately, no longer. It's a bit special in Winter, isn't it? ;)

Positioned where it is, a good distance from Lake Huron, we don't get a lot of streamers. Besides, this is supposed to be an El Niño year. Winter is projected to be milder. AND there is GO train service. :)
