Changing my email address lost my history
-
My historic email address is being retired by my professional institution, so I have just updated my personal settings page to provide my new email. Unfortunately this appears to mean I've lost  my 'history' and notifications setting (daily newsletter, etc.) Is this to be expected? Is there a way to recover those old settings and transfer my 'history' to my account under my new email address. Philip Oakley

What do you mean by 'history'? As far as I can tell, your account data is intact.

if is look at Questions asked / Answers / comments made tabs I get 0/0/0 as the values, which suggested I have no history. Also I don't appear to have received notifications of daily newsletter that I normally receive, nor notification of your reply/comment (the box is ticked), so I'm not sure what's happening and where the error is (the new email account is receiving test messages I've sent). We don't send Newsletters to unconfirmed email addresses. When you changed your email address, it needed to be confirmed. I have sent you an email confirmation email. Please follow the instructions.

email (CodeProject | CodeProject Email confirmation) received at new email address and accepted. I had had a password confirmatory email (to old email address) at '13 Jul 2019 18:49:37 -0400' which I thought was part of the update (as I didn't appear to get a proper log in after the change) Keep up the good work. Thanks.

As for the Questions/Answers/Comments == 0/0/0, It appears that you have only used the Forums, not the Questions & Answers Feature. Questions/Answers/Comments only are part of the Q&A Feature.

Ah, Thanks, that clarifies my misunderstanding - too much reading/following, not enough Q&A ;-)
