No Option to Mute Members?
-
Up until yesterday, I had the overall impression that the members who participated in these forums were good people who enjoyed discussion and treated one another with respect. To be clear, most members on the forums are great. It's a minority of members who decide to harass, antagonize, and spread hate. I know every forum on the internet deals with these types of people. Sadly, I must say that I've never encountered behavior on this level on any forum that I've ever visited. I don't want anything deleted, and I don't want anyone to be banned. I want to mute these people. If they're going to spread hatred, let them show the world who they are by how they choose to act. Is there a way to mute members? If not, then I ask that you refrain from taking any action. When posts are deleted, threads become fragmented and impossible to understand. It's a recipe for confusion and misunderstanding. This only exacerbates conflict and confusion. As awful as their behavior may be, it doesn't meet the threshold by which a member's account is terminated. Thanks for hearing me out.
