email from messages

I noticed that I am not getting all "reply to your message" emails. I only get a few of them. I made sure that I had checked the Notify me by e-mail if someone answers this message box. Is there something else I need? Or is this a bug?

During periods of heavy usage, (mainly when the newsletter is being distributed) - the CP mail servers do tend to slow down and this affects the delivery of messages. Sometimes they show up late, other times they don't show at all.
