Private Email Replies

We used to have the option to allow private emailed replies to comments posted. In fact, that feature is checked in my settings. But I never see that option displayed in any comment. Did that get turned off for some reason, or is there something else I need to enable.

I think it is no longer available to us mere mortals, but a few demi-gods (Protector status, maybe?) still have it. The question pops up from time to time, so maybe @chris-maunder could give us a definitive answer.

If you look at [my profile](https://www.codeproject.com/Members/chris-maunder) and click the privileges tab you'll see Protectors are the only ones allowed to email directly. Another victim of repeated abuse, unfortunately
