Remnant of a bastion of the enormous Mont-Royal fortress near Traben-Trarbach, it was the biggest fortification at the time (1690). Sadly only parts of it remain as the Sun King ordered it's destruction after the treaty of Rijswijk. View Google review[^] View Mont-Royal Google Photo's[^]
