I just noticed the "notification bell" for the first time - it has a count of 10. So I click on it, and scroll through the list. Then I click "Mark all read" and the number drops to a "grey 5". A second "Mark all read" clear resets the count and gets rid on the number.

DId I do something wrong? Is it a bug? Or is that by design? If it is, then what is the "grey 5" trying to tell me becasue it's not obvious!

Oh, and BTW - is there a way to have notifications sent as emails? That was possible in CP V1.0 and really was handy - it saved a lot of site vists and looking for messages if they didn't need a reply.

You can set value to "notifications and email" or "email only" for notifications in settings page. I guess that's what you are looking for

@dan-sh Ah! I hadn't seen the account...settings page - I've set to all email now.

And that raises a new oddity - the CP banner isn't displayed at the top of the settings page, and that's what I (and probably most others) use to navigate back to forums after changing settings.

But what I was talking about was the behavior of the "Mark all read" when you click it - it seems to be a "two stage" click to clear them all and it's not obvious why?
