It is my Green-Bob medal. It isn't a rubber tube. Those are Bob's hands covering his mouth. The medal is very dandy indeed. It is a handy, dandy medal to have. It has nothing to do with Beanies of green Verde, Merde! They don't rhyme, but they should!

sighist | Agile Programming | doxygenpeterchen wrote: OK, can I change that into "don't call people stupid in your posts unless you have gathered proof beyond all doubt"? I freely admit I am stupid - to anyone who judges stupidity by an opinion their judgee holds. In such a system, the label "stupid" means nothing. All it means is that I disagree with you. Now, if you were to present a position in such a way that most reasonable people would expect other reasonable people to all hold a similar opinion on it then any person who disagreed could safely be called stupid. Not because he disagreed, but because he also agrees but is too stupid to realize he lost the argument! Until you realize that I never agreed with chopping down the trees and that what I said about being "touched" has nothing to do with living in a throw-away society and until you actually attempt to construct an argument in such a way that for me to continue disagreeing with it would prove me illogical, then your calling me "stupid" is no different than calling me "human".

Or I guess we should just allow them to harbor your Baathist buddies and let them kill some more Americans so you can gleefully post about it.

This last remark is consistent with your attitude to the Iraqi farmers and with your attitude in general. Anyone who is not with you 100% is the enemy and is to be treated as such. There was a story a while back about an Iraqi family whose son had given information to the Americans. Those he had informed on (I don't remember if they were Baathists or not) came to the family and said they had to kill the son or the whole family would be killed. Shortly thereafter, the son was dead. Even those sympathetic with the Americans may have good reason not to cooperate. You apparently favour matching terror with terror. I don't believe that this will lead to peace within any reasonable time frame. John Carson

You give the Iraqi farmers two choices, either turn in the ones who attacked the american troops or be killed. Here is the actual quote: "If the poor, innocent farmers weren't lying, then no guerrillas will ever enter their homes. If they were lying, then their time on earth could be mercifully cut short rather than chop down a few trees and have to listen to them in the news."
