Great Day for Iraq

I wonder what Saddam was thinking when he was being dragged out of his little rat hole? He could have left, with his billions, on the eve of the war. He could have lived his life out as a fat cat dictator with bilions at his disposal. Instead... he was captured like a rat. I found it fascinating to watch the different TV coverage. It was a riot listening to the UN-types talking about how the Saddam trial had to be under the authority of the UN because the US and the UK had no legitimacy in running such a trial or tribunal. I almost fell out of my chair. Didn't the US and the UK pretty well invent an independent judiciary? And isn't Libya heading up the UN's Human Rights Commission at the moment? JM

John M. Drescher wrote: Saddam should be tried by the people of Iraq and not the Americans or Brits. But the crimes were committed against...oh yeah...the...Iraqi...people...
When I can talk about 64 bit processors and attract girls with my computer not my car, I'll come out of the closet. Until that time...I'm like "What's the ENTER key?" -Hockey on being a geek

Yeah, I suspect that stands a chance of being a huge problem for the USA, if it comes to that. I predict you won't be seeing him interviewed on 60 minutes..... What was the name of the guy who shot Lee Harvey Oswald ? Christian I have drunk the cool-aid and found it wan and bitter. - Chris Maunder
