You mean it's fiction? :omg: :omg: :omg: That might explain why my Talkie Toaster is nowhere near as infuriating as it should be! Anna :rose: Homepage | Tears and Laughter "Be yourself - not what others think you should be" - Marcia Graesch "Anna's just a sexy-looking lesbian tart" - A friend, trying to wind me up. Anna-Jayne Metcalfe wrote: You mean it's fiction? Everything! :) I like thing that are as near the reality as possibly! Like rally games, war games based on real wars with real guns etc. (but I don't play games actually). The same with movies, war movies based on true stories is my fave. How do you guys find names for your projects/programs? I find it very hard and right now I'm doing a design spec for a nameless project I can't figure out a name for. :~ Rickard Andersson Here is my card, contact me later! UIN: 50302279 Sonork: 37318

The first thing you need to do is make a list of all the acronyms which have not been used yet. Then you pick one from that list. (See how simple that was?) ------------------------------------------ Well, let that be a lesson to you about going around throwing out bathwater without checking its contents first.

Yep, I know. I usually end up with fully descriptive names like _Whatever_Converter or _Whatever_Importer. Not very cool sounding, but definitely clear. :-) Regards, Alvaro

Whatever! Sorry, I just couldn't help myself.. :-D -- So let's just walk from place to place, as long as we don't talk face to face.

If it's for work, we go through a rigorous system involving lawyers trademark searches, internet searches etc etc. Obviously your not doing something that will be public or your risking your ass if you are and not being more careful. For hobby programming and non-public in-house apps I pick something that strikes my fancy that day and run with it forever afterwards. For example, I wrote an in-house service app once for a place I was contracted to and when it came time for a name I looked around, spotted a bottle of Windex and called it "Windex". They are still using it years later and it's still called Windex.

After getting frustrated with aspects of Microsoft Project, I did consider looking at developing a similar tool suited to tets development. It was going to be called Project Management Tool. If I have to suffer from it... Elaine :rose: The tigress is here :-D
