Windows File Ownership

Hi All, In Windows, what's the logic for selecting the accounts which may be owners of a file? This is the list displayed when, via properties, you decide to change the file's ownership. Must they hold a user right or something? Old Simon HB9DRV :rose:

Owners have a lot of rights. Even if they are denied access to a file, they can change that, so they can access it again. Only make admins owner of files... - Anders Money talks, but all mine ever says is "Goodbye!"

Anders, Do you know how Windows selects the list of potential new owners of a file when you select the Change Ownership option? I must do this using the Microsoft rules. Old Simon HB9DRV

As far as I know, it let's you select between yourself and the old owner... (At least if you are admin) - Anders Money talks, but all mine ever says is "Goodbye!"
