Are you sure that Excel is supposed to use the locale's list separator? Maybe what Excel is dealing with is not considered a list. Anyway, once you have the data in Excel, you can use the Text to Columns menu option to fix the problem. Five birds are sitting on a fence. Three of them decide to fly off. How many are left?
