The reason that in the Output view will be alot of output lines over 40000 lines and the a view derived from CEditView or CRichEditView will not give it on the screen like it should without using a very complicated code, so i am must use a view derived from CView. I used CreateCaret and ShowCaret() but they did not solve the problem.

First off, you should use CScrollView, rather than CView. Secondly, you need to either register a custom window class with a custom cursor and override the PreCreateWindow method (preferred), or handle WM_SETCURSOR messages and call SetCursor() with the proper cursor handle, previously loaded in your init code (will flicker). onwards and upwards...

Do you have a valid CTestView object before starting your thread? If not, that will cause this crash.

You should sometimes (e.g. after reading of 100 data) call a function like this. If you remove the message from the queue, you should dispatch the message. You can call PeekMessage with other filters too (e.g. for a special window or other messages).
