Thanks aztekka! I tried this sql statement and I'm still getting an Unhandled Exception Error. I'm thinking that VB 2003 doesn't like the statement somehow. I will continue to work on this and any more help that can be provided will be very appreciated. Swish

"Group by" should work. Very likely, your statement cannot find something in your Excel, e.g. Table Name, Column Name, File Location, etc. The easiest way for me to help you is to get a copy of your Excel file. My email address is petersgyoung@hotmail.com. petersgyoung
