I know UpdateResource can be used to make the change. Do you know if there is an example showing how to change version information permanently using this function? In MSDN, there are some links about how to change dialog resource and string table resource using the function. But I didn't find anything about version. Thanks.

Select Tools/Customize, then select "Insert" from the "Category" combobox on the "Commands" tab. Drag the icon for the "New ATL Object" command over the "Insert" menu, and drop it into place. Thats it! Regards, Nick Hodapp

You can use "GetOpenFileName"/"GetSaveFileName", They are Win32API methods that can be used to open/save a file respectively. If you are just browsing for a folder, you can use "SHBrowseForFolder" API method. Hope it helps,
