I am not a coder, just a person that doesn't know where to turn. I was downloading some software, and a virus encrypted all my files. I can't read any of my files, and don't know where to turn. the virus sends me to a web site where I have to pay to take the encrypting off. this is like kidnapping my files for ransom. can anyone point me to some software that would take away the encrypting.
