Forum subscriptions are on the agenda. The amount of email this would entail is the only issue here. Email replies to the forums? That's just asking for trouble ;) cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)

Andrew Peace was playing around and nailed it for IE (only). Just rearranged the table formatting and removed an embedded table. IE is the only browser that treats cell widths correctly (or at least, intuitively) Opera and Netscape make a mess of it, so they use the old HTML formatting. cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)

What hardware is used to make the call? Most telephony based applications either use a hardware specific API or TAPI. This kind of app tends to be hardware specific, as each PABX/Phone system tends to have its own quirks. Microsoft Speech SDK has a few similar examples. Michael :-)

Although this is a problem, I think you'll find the vast bulk of the questions are MFC questions, so it won't help. I know I am not the only one who every morning goes through from the top answering questions until they recognise one, and by the time I get up most of the questions have been asked and answered. I really only see it as a problem for anonymous posters, because they don't get an email reply. My opinion of anonymous posters is fairly well known, I would have thought. I admit it would be nicer to split them, but the thing is, it wouldn't really help much. A COM section might, assuming we do not have one, but a Win32 or WTL one would be pretty dead, I think. You can minimize the problem that you and Mike are talking about by: - Allowing only a fixed format to be uploaded, e.g. 100x100 JPG. - Putting a link to the photo instead of a thumbnail. That way the viewer will have to explicitly click on the photo, which means that you can put a small disclaimer at the bottom of the page warning of potential explicit content. - Create an email address (which you should already have) abuse@codeproject.com, which you can display at the bottom of the photo. That way users will be able to report porn/goats immediately. - Have the feature running for a trial period, and see how it goes. If you notice abuse, remove the feature. It really sucks that you have to moderate the content on CP. IMO you should let the users report offensive content, and then act upon those reports rather than have to moderate everything. To safegaurd yourselves you should also speak to a lawyer to see what kind of disclaimer texts you should add to avoid lawsuits should someone decide to pick on you. Its a pity to see functionality decrease because of the few people who abuse (I'm sure that many other ideas/features have been dismissed due to fear of abuse). However, you know best. I'm confident that you know what you're doing. (2b || !2b)

Maybe, but the 50ish woman doing the show in Australia is far from hot. :( Christian As I learn the innermost secrets of the around me, they reward me in many ways to keep quiet. Men with pierced ears are better prepared for marriage. They've experienced pain and bought Jewellery.

Daily bugs get the usual treatment - but I'm happy to experiment with donations of  to see if they are more easily fixed through the application of a suitable refreshment ;) cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)
