They say Spanish is the only language spoken as written, so maybe you'll have an edge there. I have found the smatterings of modern Greek or German I've picked up to be quite understandable. Unfortunately I'm another South Africa who knows no African languages, so I can't comment on them, and I just won't comment on the Asian languages. One correction here, Spanish is not exactly spoken as written. Croatian/serbian/bosnian is 100% phonetically written language, exactly spoken as written. I wouldn't recommend learning it though, it has pretty small user base, and a pretty complicated grammar.

Italian is also spoken as it's written. A sequence of letters is spoken ALWAYS in the same way, in every word it occurs. And it's also a noble language ;) ___________________________________ Tozzi is right: Gaia is getting rid of us. My Blog [ITA] - eMule Server .NET

;) Except for one word. Don't know what it is, but one of my wifes Aunties always pulls it out when the Uncle gets drunk and tells me all about the wonders of Italian and it ease of use. Michael Martin Australia "I controlled my laughter and simple said "No,I am very busy,so I can't write any code for you". The moment they heard this all the smiling face turned into a sad looking face and one of them farted. So I had to leave the place as soon as possible." - Mr.Prakash 24/04/2004
