Pink Floyd concert

I saw the Division Bell tour whenever the hell that was... '94? '95? I was an experience to say the least. I think my favourite album is The Final Cut - with The Wall and Momentary Lapse Of Reason close behind. Mind you Roger Waters album Amused To Death was pretty damn good too... Guess I'm a Floyd junkie. J

I love Floyd. I can listen to them for days straight. I think Animals has got to be my favorite album though. Unfortunately I've haven't seen'em yet.:(( Josh Knox that-guy.net

But as far as harmony and good tunes are concerned, I think 'Obscured by clouds' is pretty far. I never got that chant song at the end of Side A on a tape. #define MOSTLY_LEAN_AND_MEAN

It's just been announced that Pink FLoyd will be playing in Bangalore in April. Man, I guess I'm really excited, although the tickets cost as much as 2500 bucks per person( about $50). This is a dream come true for most of us guys to see Floyd in live concert, as Floyd is supposed to be, well God. I'd like to know if anyone here feels the same about Floyd's music and has been to any of their concerts? But then again, without the 'real' Floyd( i.e. - Roger Waters) their music in the last couple of years(Momentary lapse of Reason, Delicate sound of thunder,Division Bell) has been rather disappointing(read not upto mark) as compared to their classic albums like Dark side of the moon, (my fav)The Wall etc. One thing though is certain, David Gilmour is a great guitar player and I'm not missing that concert. #define MOSTLY_LEAN_AND_MEAN
P.F are great, but I actually think, Roger Waters are even better solo, in his up till now three albums - than he ever where, when he was with P.F. I have bought tickets to his concert in july, in Copenhagen. It'll be great! Also this month, I'm going to see in the digitally remastered version of "The Wall" in Scandinavias biggest cinema :-) Oh joy. "Dark side of the Moon", is propably the best P.F album. Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking are the best album ever - yes that's right - ever! "A momentary lapse of reason" is also a wonderful album. "Learning to fly" still makes me goosey all over, even after having listened to it hundreds of times. Enjoy your concert in Bangalore - I'm sure it will be awesome. I saw the video quite some time back and I still remember the great visual effects/animations in it and the imagery was memorable. The video made great use of the 'Poppins effect'(drawn animations merged with filmed movie). You'll love it too.:) #define MOSTLY_LEAN_AND_MEAN

Hi Amit, Amit Dey wrote: Is this a new movie or the original PF video? It is the original Movie with Bob Geldorf. Amit Dey wrote: You'll love it too. Propably. I've seen it five times, since my 9'th grade teacher forced us to see it in class. I hated it by then BTW. Too strange for kids i guess. I've learned to love with time though.
