About the only music I listen to is Christian so the pickings online is somewhat slim unless I listen to Christain radio stations such as KLOVE. Mstly I just listen the CDs I have stored on my drive. Recently, I tried out the latest Yahoo! Messenger and found that most of its annoying problems have gone and it is quite usable although I do not know anyone that uses it for an IM ;) I was surprised though, how well integrated thier LaunchCast radio is integrated. It is really handy and actual has a couple choices for Christian music. At this time, I find I use the radio built into Yahoo! Messenger quite often. How about all off you, do you use online radio? If so, what player/site? Do you pop for paid subscriptions? Rocky <>< Latest Post: SQL2005 Server Managemnet Studio timeouts! Blog: www.RockyMoore.com/TheCoder/[^]

I use online radio a lot, although mainly for talk radio/comedy and not much music. My favourites, BBC Radio 4 (Comedy) Listen Again[^] BBC Radio 7 (Listen Again)[^] Ocassionally I'll listen to BBC Radio 2[^] and on very rare times I'll listen to Radio 1[^] I keep up-to-date with news and sport on Five Live[^] The BBC sites all tend to be Real player based, for which I use Media Player classic. I've been a Live365 member (www.live365.com[^]) for years and have been very happy with the service. There are lots of stations and the sound quality is very good and getting better as more stations switch to higher bandwidth and use of mp3PRO. I'm not into Christian music but am sure this genre exists, and there are probably a number of subgenres (Christian rock, Christian metal, etc.) You can listen for free but the ads are pretty annoying. I pay for a year at a time and it comes to less than $4 a month, I think. Well worth it, IMO.

I know - I was very pleasantly surprised! It would be nice though, if you could merge stations of different genres into a single feed. /ravi My new year's resolution: 2048 x 1536 Home | Music | Articles | Freeware | Trips ravib(at)ravib(dot)com

I spend $25 per quarter to get Rhapsody. Great selection. For other Christian music, a local station streams online, you might like them. http://www.hisradio.com/[^] BW

Have not looked at it for a couple years. They seem to have a lot of features. The one thing I really enjoy about Yahoo! Messenger is that the radio ability it built into the app so that I do not have to have yet another application running. Really handy ;) Rocky <>< Latest Post: SQL2005 Server Managemnet Studio timeouts! Blog: www.RockyMoore.com/TheCoder/[^]
