Hi all, I have a strange neighbor living next to my house. He has a 15-years old son, and he gave his son a real gun to play with. The naughty son like to wander around to kill cats, dogs around the community. When all ppl complain to his father, he replied " well, I have an agreement with my son : in every four years, I decide whether to give or take away the gun from my son according to his performance, and it is not the time yet, so I can do nothing now !". What should the ppl in the community do ?

Soapbox material, as others have pointed out. Cheers, Vikram.

Starts with cats... This moron is a serial killer in the making: in any case why is any child allowed to have a weapon??? Where on earth do you live that this would be tolerated???

This guy is trolling. He's a jerk. The point of his post (the 4 year business) is to make an analogy with the US presidency. Marc Pensieve

Thanks: I didn't pick up on that when I first read it but I can see it now. My bad for taking it as a proper post.

Actually, contrary to my own advice, I will feed the troll. Here is my response-- the people should help buy the kid ammunition so that he can continue to rid the neighborhood of the stray dogs, cats, and other vermin, that if not controlled, will reproduce uncontrollably and terrorize innocent people. So put that analogy in your pipe and smoke it. Marc Pensieve

Create a new Liverwurst community festival, and, as celebration of it, smear liverwurst on the offending dad's windshield each night. If he complains, tell him that it was decided to announce celebrate the new liverwurst festival this way. He is of course welcome to make a different suggestion, but unfortunately, since the commitee only meets each four years, nothing can eb changed right now.

That got my 5! Yes, what the original poster failed to mention is that the cats and dogs in his neighborhood keep running off with toddlers... C. Gilley Will program for food... My son's PDA is an M249 SAW.

Here in America we do things a bit differently. If we have a problem with something or someone we don't drop on the doorsteps of other people and expect them to solve it. Here in America if we feel strongly about something we get organized. We try to find other people who feel the way we do and we meet. We discuss how we feel and make sure we are on the same page. Then we establish goals and timelines. We may use petitions and we may use public meetings. We get involved directly and produce change. That's how Americans get things done.

When Americans complain loudly and publicly to everyone else and take no responsible action on their own they are identified as being lazy complainers who probably wouldn't do anything to make this country better if given the chance. So your fellow Americans that you are complaining to are going to give you one response.

PPP001, if this is something you feel strongly about please get organized. Establish a group of people, perhaps even get a website up and running. Express your views in a factual way and keep emotions out of it. Clearly describe the problems as you see them and articulate the solution you think will be the most affective. If other people are interested in your cause and want to share in it they will reach you through your website not this one. This is codeproject.com not iwanttobitchaboutamerica.com. Please get organized and demonstrate the strength of your convictions if people can tell you are honest and sincere they might help you. I suggest you not put any further comments in this message board you have a lot of work to do.

Have a good day. Hopefully we'll see you in about a month when you've gotten more organized.

                          - Rex
