Hi All, I'm writing some marketing text for a new hardware product and am looking for the best words to use to describe it (it's a programmable/configurable home-lighting system). In your opinion, to a non-geek, non-techie, perhaps slightly technophobic user, which word do you think is is less intimidating: configurable or programable All opinions welcomed! Many thanks, Sam W

Bodgable :-D Tweakable Easy To Change/Alter/Update/Modify Maintainable Does Not Require A Sledgehammer Even Your Dad Could Use It :-D

My technophobic co-workers like Gary Wheeler's suggestion; customizable as well. Makes it sound like it will work out of the box, but you can change it should the need arise.

Whatever words you choose it would be best to spell them properly! ;) Why not "turn-on-and-offable"?
