Application Testing
-
I have an application that I wrote, it basically sits on your desktop and tells you your Outlook Tasks and Calander, I intend to release this as freeware soon. (Supported by Google AdWords on the web site, no ads in the application). Anyway, it works great on the machines I can get my hands on to test it with, yet my friend is having issues. I have run out of ways to test so I am asking anyone thats reading this message, if you would like to test it on your system I would be very gratefull. Here are some screenshots of the application "Outlook View": http://www.devclarity.com/ov1.png[^] http://www.devclarity.com/ov2.png[^] The interface is 100% customizable with XHTML and CSS. Requirments: Outlook 2003 (May work with other versions, untested) .Net Framework 2 If you would be intrested in helping me test this out please send me an email directly: "hazlema @ devclarity.com" Thanks.... Sounds like it's time to get a new friend! ;) Just kidding. What is it that does not work on this other machine?

Well I tracked it down to an XML error. But thankfully I think I figured out what the problem was. I was updating the innertext property without rencoding the string... This is why it would work on my machine and the ones I tested it on but not his. I'd still be eger to have people test it if they like before taking the http://www.Betanews.com/[^] plunge :-) I'll post the app on my website, anyone who wants can test it out. (If you have problems please drop me a line). http://www.devclarity.com/OutlookView-Beta.zip[^] Let me know if you test it out or have any suggestions ! Matthew Hazlett

Bugs were fixed, here is the latest: http://devclarity.com/OutlookView/OutlookView-Beta.rar[^] Matthew Hazlett Sometimes I miss the simpler DOS days of Borland Turbo Pascal (but not very often).
