Hi all I want to learn asp.net but when I select asp.net web application or service message box show up "vs.net detected that the specified web server in not running asp.net v1.1 you will not able to run asp.. ..." my vs.net2002 ver1.1 any one can solve this problem my windows media center edition sp2. and I installed IIS; AMR-CIS -- modified at 8:11 Sunday 29th January, 2006

Have you installed the .net pre-requisities? This should install the correct software for you to run asp.net pages from your local IIS server. Regards, Matt.

Use the regiis.exe utility. This configures ASP.NET to attach to IIS. Sometimes it doesn't work to well with the initial install. It is located in your framework directory with system32 1 line of code equals many bugs. So don't write any!!

take the command prompt and at the dot net framework version 1.1 path, type aspnet_regiis -i This will set up asp.net 1.1 on your machine. Happy Programming, Vimal
