I used to have a high opinion about the CMM5 level companies in India. Recently we interviewed a Wipro Manager for one of our .NET onsite requirements. From his resume it looks like he delivered 3 .NET Projects. In interview he was not able to answer even basic .Net Questions. He managed to answer some Project Management questions that too after lot of hesitation. I am just wondering about their standards. Elite

But they do have difficulty replacing troublesome caps lock keys. ;P ColinMackay.net Scottish Developers are looking for speakers for user group sessions over the next few months. Do you want to know more?

In interview we didn't ask that guy to code. We just asked him couple of basic .NET questions. Without knowing anything about .Net Technology i am not sure how we can talk to our customers about implementing their projects. I feel that guy is not even fit for a entry level programmer position. We have interviewed couple of Wipro candidates for our developer position. I don't think they are so great what they claim to be. They are charging hefty fee from their customers for ordinary quality with their brand name.

Ya! It's happening in many Organizations. I think this is due to people are not getting updated to latest technologies. and Organizations are promoting them based on their seniority and personal relations with in organization "Every morning I check Forbes 40 richest Indians list , if i'm not there I go to work."
