                    It says:

US ex-postal employee kills six A female ex-postal worker has shot dead six people at a sorting office in California, before committing suicide. One other person was said to be in a critical condition, the authorities said. All the victims were believed to be postal employees. More than 50 people were working at the plant at the time of the shootings, according to the police. The incident took place on Monday a few blocks from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Hmmm, a female mass killer. How unique. I wonder what plunged her into darkness? "Art doesn't want to be familiar. It wants to astonish us. Or, in some cases, to enrage us. Doesn't unchecked sex result in violence against innocent babies (i.e. abortion)? Now this is ready for The Soapbox!!

Hey - a corpse is tragic, but sex with a corpse is disturbing. We gotta crack down on these things, else we'll have the necrophiliacs joining the fags and pedos on some bizarre demonstration march, spreading disease and formaldehyde. Seriously, i'd be the first to agree that just about anything legalAlien posts should be relegated to The Soapbox, but that doesn't mean the topic itself couldn't receive proper treatment here. The "Kid Sister rule" is something totally strange to me, so I won't fight to enforce it... anyway I would find weird we knew flame wars in the Lounge because of cricket-related posts but no reaction about one talking about a massacre.

See, i don't have enough knowledge of cricket to tell the flames from the discussion. I just assumed "yo mamma sucks eggs" was a pitching style or something...

Tragic though it is, I appreciate the fact that it happenned in a rich, liberal college town in the state with the strictest gun control laws in the US. It rather points out the falsehood of the alleged "facts" the anti-gun faction tout to the liberal media. What is it about post offices, anyway? I have friends working in the postal service, and I never met anyone with so little work to do and stress to cope with. "...a photo album is like Life, but flat and stuck to pages." - Shog9
