Hello everybody, I just got this virus that restarts the computer. I think is called MS Blast. I have a windows home edition with service pack installed. I 've downloaded the patch from microsoft.com, and when i try to install it. it sais that the service pack version is more recent then the patch. So, then how do i get the virus out? (without formatting?) >Thanks a lot!

        x-trate: Check http://www.psy.ucsd.edu/psynet/security/blaster.html[^]. They have several solutions for 3 of the Blaster's variants ("A","B" and "C"). hint_54

Try to download http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=ad724ae0-e72d-4f54-9ab3-75b8eb148356&displaylang=en[^] and http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=321cd7a2-6a57-4c57-a8bd-dbf62eda9671&displaylang=en[^] and scan your computer in a normal mode or safe mode. The first step is to identify the virus name. After that check at symantec website to find the fix tool to clean this virus.
